(East Peoria, Ill.) – The Missouri S&T Lady Miners had four players named to the All-GLVC Softball squad on Thursday evening at the GLVC Softball Tournament banquet in East Peoria, Ill. Seniors Emily Tucker and Jen O’Hara were named to the all-conference squad for the third straight season while junior Ashley Wallingford and sophomore Kassi Deibert earned their first selections to the team.

Tucker earned her third straight selection to the first team this season as she led the Lady Miners in almost every offensive category this season including hits, batting average, doubles, home runs and stolen bases. She will finish her career as S&T’s career leader in doubles and runs batted in while ranking in the top 10 in several other categories. Over her last eight appearances she has given up only one unearned run while tossing five shutouts starting with the Lady Miners victory at Illinois-Springfield on April 18. She became the school’s all-time leader in wins earning her 54th and 55th wins of her career by pitching complete game shutouts over Rockhurst on the final day of the regular season.

Wallingford earned second team All-GLVC accolades as a utility player for S&T. She spent a majority of the season pitching and playing third base. In her 53 at bats she had 18 hits with two doubles, four home runs and 12 RBIs to finish with a .340 batting average. In the circle she was 9-10 with a 3.14 ERA and tossed 14 complete games. She pitched 129.1 innings and struck out 109 hitters while walking only 26.

Deibert joined O’Hara on the third team being selected to the designated player spot. In 47 games she hit .283 with nine doubles a home run and finished third on the team in RBIs with 20. Deibert spent a majority of the season as the Lady Miners clean-up hitter.
