Goal in final minute sends Miners to defeat in GLVC Tournament opener

WILDER, Ky. – A year ago, Missouri S&T’s men’s soccer team lost a tough opening round game in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament in the final minutes of the contest. The Miners returned to the scene Sunday – and unfortunately, they saw their season end in heartbreaking fashion again at NKU as the Norse scored in the final minute to end S&T’s season with a 3-2 win in the first round of the 2009 GLVC Tournament.

Kekec, McNamee named to All-GLVC men's soccer team for 2009

ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T had two members of its men’s soccer team – junior David Kekec and sophomore Pat McNamee – named Thursday to the Great Lakes Valley Conference’s all-league team for the 2009 season.

RENSSELAER, Ind. – Missouri S&T was in a position Sunday to land a home game in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament, but let a two-goal lead in the second half slip from its grasp and fell 3-2 to Saint Joseph’s College.
