12 Miners selected to Great Lakes Football Conference all-league team

ROLLA, Mo. – Missouri S&T had 12 members of its football team named Monday to the Great Lakes Football Conference’s all-league team for the recently completed 2009 season, including five selected to the first team.

OWENSBORO, Ky. – Missouri S&T closed out the 2009 season Saturday by winning for the fourth time in five weeks, using a 17-point burst late in the second quarter to post a 34-14 win over Kentucky Wesleyan.

BOLIVAR, Mo. – Last November, Missouri S&T denied Southwest Baptist a chance at finishing with a winning record by beating SBU in its season finale. The Bearcats turned the tables on the Miners Saturday, avenging last year’s 40-point loss to S&T with a 54-13 win at SBU's Plaster Stadium to end the Miners’ three-game winning streak.
