The Missouri S&T women's track and field team has been recognized by the Great Lakes Valley Conference as one of the recipients of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee's Sportsmanship Awards for the 2007-08 winter season.
The SAAC Sportsmanship Award is determined by votes of the 14 GLVC member institutions’ campus SAACs. The committees select their top three choices in each sport and base their decision on their view of sportsmanship. The GLVC sponsors the award in each of the league’s 17 championship sports.
The Lady Miner track and field team earned the school's first such award since the university became a member of the conference. During the recently completed indoor season, Missouri S&T had a fourth place finish as a team at the conference meet and had five individuals earn All-GLVC honors, including a conference champion as Taylor Hahn won the pole vault competition.
