Miners swimmers top CSCAA academic list
The University of Missouri-Rolla swimming team is one of three teams that tied for the top spot for NCAA Division II on the College Swimming Coaches Association of America's all-academic list for the 2006 fall semester.
The Miners posted a 3.23 grade point average as a team, which matched the averages posted by Truman State University and the University of Indianapolis. UMR was one of just 14 schools at the Division II level to have a team grade point average of at least 2.80, which is the minimum standard to make the list.
It is the third consecutive semester in which the Miners have been the top academic team in NCAA Division II.
The Miners have 12 individuals competing this week at the NCAA Division II Championships in Buffalo, N.Y.
