The UMR baseball games with Truman State this weekend, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, have been moved up a day in order to get ahead of some pending stormy weather in Rolla this weekend.

The Miners and Bulldogs will play a doubleheader Friday at noon at the UMR Baseball Field -- on a day where the current forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and 55-degree temperatures -- and a single nine-inning game Saturday, weather permitting. According to the Weather Channel, there is a 60 percent chance of rain Saturday and more precipitation is anticipated for Sunday as well.

Saturday's game is also scheduled to begin at noon.

Friday's games will be the home openers for the Miners, who are 1-3 on the season.
