Iglehart selected as GLFC defensive "Player of Week"

University of Missouri-Rolla cornerback Jon Iglehart has been named as the Great Lakes Football Conference's defensive "Player of the Week" after helping lead the Miners to a 21-14 win Saturday over Austin Peay at Allgood-Bailey Stadium.

Iglehart finished the game with seven tackles, six of which were unassisted, one tackle for a loss and a pass breakup. The Miners shut out APSU in the second half while holding the Governors to just 86 yards of total offense. Austin Peay had only 297 yards on the afternoon against UMR and completed less than 50 percent of its passing attempts.

Iglehart is a senior from Oakland, Calif., and came to UMR by way of Laney College.

The Miners (3-4) will host Southern Nazarene Saturday at 1 p.m.
